Pune, 14th July 2025: The Surendra Pathare Foundation, in collaboration with Fort Fit Movement, launched its heritage fort campaign with ‘Mission Raireshwar’ on Sunday. The campaign began at the historic Raireshwar Fort, where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj took the oath of Swarajya. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 635 people, from children to senior citizens.

Echoing chants of ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ki Jai’, ‘Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji’, and ‘Har Har Mahadev’ filled the air, sparking emotional and patriotic fervour among participants. The mission included a trek to the fort, a guided exploration of its historic structures, and a cleanliness drive aimed at preserving its sanctity.

Organisers stated that the initiative aimed to go beyond trekking and foster a deeper connection with Shivaji Maharaj’s inspiring legacy. “History is not just to be read in books, it must be experienced,” they said.

This is the first in a series of fort-based missions planned by the Foundation. “Our forts are Maharashtra’s pride, and preserving them is our responsibility,” said Foundation President Surendra Pathare. He affirmed that similar campaigns will be carried out at other forts blessed by Shivaji Maharaj’s presence.
