Pune: Sushma Andhare Questions Vadgaonsheri MLA Sunil Tingre Over Kalyani Nagar Porsche Incident
Shivajinagar, 18th November 2024: Today, Sushma Andhare, spokesperson for Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), held a press conference in Pune, marking the final briefing before the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections. In light of the completion of six months since the Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident, Andhare raised several questions during the press conference, which was held at a hotel in Shivajinagar.
She strongly criticised the sitting MLA of the Vadgaonsheri Constituency, Sunil Tingre, for his involvement in the Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident and said she was not afraid of the notices he had been sending.
Sushma Andhare questioned, “As a representative of the people, was it more important to visit the accident site, meet the families of the innocent victims, or to go to the Yerawada Police Station, Sassoon General Hospital, and the Maharashtra State Excise Department’s office? Are the real criminals those who protect the wrongdoers by exerting political pressure in this case? Who were the other minors in the Porsche with the builder’s ‘baby’? Tingre should clarify if there was any leader’s son involved.”
Andhare made it clear that she was not intimidated by Tingre’s notices, emphasising that the innocent should receive justice. She further challenged, “Neither I, nor Supriya Sule, nor our party are afraid of these notices. If you wish to take legal action, go ahead. As a citizen of Vadgaonsheri, I am speaking on this matter.”
She concluded by criticising Tingre for his failure as an MLA, listing the promises he had not fulfilled.
