Pune, 3rd October 2025: On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Team Swachh Kalyani Nagar conducted its annual Traffic Drive 2025 to spread awareness about road safety, pedestrian rights, and responsible driving. The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from school students, residents, and traffic police officials, reinforcing the message that safer roads mean safer lives.

The drive began with an assembly at the PMC Sports Ground, Enfield Arena, where participants attended a short lecture and ice-breaking activities through games. The group then held a walkathon along Central Avenue, raising slogans on safe traffic practices and the need for encroachment-free footpaths.

The march culminated at Gold Adlabs Chowk, where delegates from the Pune Traffic Police addressed the gathering. They highlighted the importance of following traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and community involvement in ensuring road discipline.

Despite the festival of Dussehra, over 70 participants joined the initiative. Students, resident volunteers, and traffic police officials carried placards, raised awareness among passersby, and engaged in interactive sessions on safe driving.

Residents said the annual drive has become a strong reminder for Kalyani Nagar to stay committed to road safety. “Such initiatives are not only about rules but about saving lives,” one participant remarked.

The organizers stated that more such citizen-driven campaigns will continue to push for better compliance, safer footpaths, and a culture of responsible driving in the city.
