Pune: Swift Dzire Collides with Three Two-Wheelers in Pimpri-Chinchwad Accident; Six Injured, Driver Booked

Nigdi, 16th February 2025: A major accident occurred late last night on Dalvi Nagar Bridge in Chinchwad, resulting in six injuries when a Swift Dzire collided with three two-wheelers. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of Nigdi Police Station under the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate (PCPC).
The car driver, identified as Samarth Kulkarni, has been booked for the accident but has not been arrested yet. Among the injured are Someshwar Shridhar Kale, 21, from Shegaon, Buldhana, who filed a complaint against Kulkarni at Nigdi Police Station. Other victims include Akshay Bate, Rajendra Warade, Shubhada Warade, Chaitanya Puranik, and Padmaja Puranik. The accused, Kulkarni, also sustained injuries in the incident.
According to police reports, the complainant and his friend were traveling from Chinchwad to Khandoba Mal Chowk when the car, coming from the opposite direction, collided with them. The reckless driving of the car resulted in serious injuries to the duo. A couple on a bike behind the complainant’s vehicle was also involved in the crash and injured. A third bike nearby was affected as well, causing minor injuries to another couple.
All parties involved are currently receiving treatment at a nearby hospital. Senior Police Inspector Shatrughna Mali, in charge of Nigdi Police Station, visited the crime scene along with several officials. Police Sub Inspector Maqsood Maner is conducting further investigations into the matter.
