Pune: Techie Looted Gold Chain at Gun-point in Pimple Saudagar

Pimple Saudagar, August 30, 2020: A 42-year-old IT engineer, who was taking a walk after dinner, was robbed of a gold chain weighing 15 grams at gunpoint in Pimple Saudagar. The incident took place around 10 pm on Saturday. Based on a complaint from Jaswant Kumar Agarwal, Sangvi police station, under Pimpri Chinchwad police, has registered a robbery case against two unidentified persons.

According to the police, Agarwal had gone out of the house for a walk after dinner in the Govind Garden area in Pimple Saudagar. Meanwhile, it started raining, and there was no electricity in the locality. Two unidentified persons took advantage of the dark, and threatened Agarwal with a gun and snatched a gold chain worth about Rs 50,000 from his neck. The two then fled there. The incident is being further investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Gulig.
