Pune: Teenager Killed By Leopard While Fetching Cattle In Field

Khed, 18th March 2023: A 17-year-old youth named Ajay Jathar was killed in a leopard attack in Dhuvoli village, Khed taluka of Pune district, creating panic in the area.

According to reports, Ajay had gone to the field to bring grazing cattle with a friend when he was attacked by a leopard hiding in the bushes around 7:30 pm on Friday. Ajay died on the spot due to the leopard’s attack. The Forest Department personnel immediately rushed to the spot as soon as they were informed about the incident.

The Forest Department officials have started investigating the incident thoroughly. Such attacks have become increasingly common due to human settlements encroaching upon the leopards’ natural habitats, leading to conflicts between humans and wildlife.
