Pune: Tehseen Poonawalla Criticises Thackeray Brothers, Warns Congress
Pune, 2nd November 2025: Political analyst and consultant Tehseen Poonawalla commented on the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s (MNS) performance in various elections, criticising both the party and the Congress.
Poonawalla stated that despite being the state where the Congress was founded, the party’s results in the recent elections were disappointing. He added that leaders who “promote hatred against migrants from Bihar or target Muslims” should not be considered credible voices in politics.
Referring to Raj Thackeray, Poonawalla said that voting for the MNS chief “serves no purpose,” as he “eventually gravitates back towards Prime Minister Modi.” He warned that the Congress and the INDIA alliance should maintain a clear distance from such figures to avoid further electoral setbacks in Bihar and Maharashtra.
