Pune: Temporary Diversion on Mumbai–Pune Expressway for Gantry Setup

Pune, 20th November 2023: The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is currently undertaking the installation of a gantry on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway i.e Mumbai–Pune Expressway at km 35/500 on the Pune Channel. As a result, there will be temporary traffic diversions and disruptions in the area.

During the installation work, light vehicles travelling from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted. The diversion route includes the following:

1. Exit from the Expressway at Shandong Phata.
2. Proceed to RMM No. 48 from Old Khandala Ghat on the Old Mumbai Pune Expressway
3. Re-enter the Mumbai – Pune Expressway at Magic Point (km 42/100)

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation has further informed that normal traffic flow from Mumbai to Pune on the expressway will resume at 2 pm after the completion of the gantry installation. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow the designated diversion routes during the specified period.
