Pune: Theater, folk art, all other cultural events permitted to resume again

Pune, January 28, 2021: Resident Deputy Collector Dr Jayshree Katare has informed that theatre, folk art and all other cultural programs have been allowed by the Department of Cultural Affairs.

Due to the prevalence of Coronavirus, the Disaster Management Act 2005 was imposed under which many places were closed. And as the impact of coronavirus is seen decreasing the places which were closed are resuming with the guidelines issued by the government.

Since the department of Cultural Affairs received many complaints from some districts about the denial of permission for cultural programs, dramas, folk art, spectacles, planting, etc. through the people’s representatives. Accordingly, the department decided to resume it.
