Pune: Theft of Electrical Goods Worth 54 Lakh Rupees Reported in Wagholi

Wagholi, 12th April 2024: A theft involving electrical goods worth approximately 54 lakh rupees has been reported from a private company in Wagholi, Pune. A case of theft has been registered with the Lonikand Police.

The specifics of the incident indicate that Sisca company operates five warehouses in Wagholi, each managed by a designated individual. After closing the warehouses, the manager seals them with his signature, and the keys are entrusted to the security guard. However, upon inspection, an irregularity was detected in the seal of the third warehouse. This discrepancy has raised suspicion and prompted the investigation into the theft.

Upon suspicion, a check of the godowns revealed discrepancies in the storage and a noticeable reduction in goods. Similar irregularities were observed in godowns four and five. Upon further inspection of all three godowns, it was discovered that electrical goods worth approximately 54 lakh rupees had been stolen. The Lonikand Police are currently investigating the incident further.

In another development, Pune Police apprehended a notorious thief from the Hadapsar area, uncovering nine cases of two-wheeler theft. The individual arrested is identified as Yash Santosh Zende, 19 years old, residing in Phursungi. A case has been registered against him and his accomplice at the Hadapsar Police Station.
