Pune: Thieves Steal Cash and Jewelry Worth Rs 2.4 Lakh After Breaking Into Flat in Daytime
Warje, 26th December 2023: In a disturbing incident reported from Warje on NDA Road, it has been revealed that thieves targeted a closed flat at Swar Building Tapodhan, making away with a substantial sum of Rs 2 lakh 40 thousand.
A 60-year-old man has filed a complaint at the Warje Malwadi Police station, Pune city police, leading to the registration of a case of burglary against the unidentified culprits.
The incident took place on December 23 between 11 am and 3 pm. The stolen loot includes Rs 15 thousand in cash and valuable gold ornaments.
According to the police, the thieves took advantage of the flat being locked, entering during broad daylight. The method of entry remains under investigation, with possibilities ranging from the use of a fake key to some other sophisticated device. The burglars targeted an iron cupboard locker in bedroom, where the victim had stored the cash and gold ornaments.
Upon returning home, the complainant discovered the disheartening scene of a burgled house. He reported the incident to the Malvadi Police station, where a complaint was lodged, prompting further investigation by Sub-Inspector of Police Narendra Munde.
