Pune: Three Arrested After Unsuccessful Attempt To Blow Up Same ATM Machine Three Times In Three Months
Pune 18th Sept 2023: The Local Crime Branch Unit of Pune Rural Police has arrested three people for allegedly trying to blow up an ATM machine three times in a period of three months. The notorious criminals were arrested after they were spotted in a CCTV footage while trying to blow up the ATM to steal money on the third time.
The accused identified as Vishal Chhabu Palhare (20), Aniket Sanjay Shinde (20) both residents of Ahmednagar district and Aditya Pradeep Rokade (20) a resident of Pune’s Shirur were arrested by police in the matter. According to police, the accused had tried to blow up the ATM machine of India One company located in the Pargaon village on Pune-Ahmednagar Highway.
The first attempt by the accused was made in May this year following which an FIR was registered at Yavat Police Station under relevant sections. The accused failed to break the ATM despite using explosives. The second and third attempt was made by them on July 6 and July 26 using the same method and they failed again. Two seperate FIRs were registered against unknown people after the failed attempts.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Local Crime Branch Unit of the Rural police had started investigation in matter which led them to the three arrested accused.
