Pune : RTO Creates Dedicated Facility To Inspect Vehicles Participating In Ganesh Festival And Eid-E-Milad Processions

Pune 18th Sept 2023: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has created an independent dedicated facility for the inspection of vehicles that will take part in the processions of Ganesh festival and Eid-E-Milad. The vehicles including truck, trailor and tractors that are used to carry idols, sound systems and decorations during the processions will be inspected at this facility to avoid any untoward incident.

The officials of the Pune RTO said that the dedicated facility to inspect these vehicles will be available at the RTO, Alandi Road Testing Ground in Phulenagar and Dive Testing Ground between September 19 and September 29. The officials have urged the members of respective organisations to get the vehicles inspected and carry the inspection certificate at the time of procession.

The RTO officials have also urged the vehicle owners to get their documents completed for the inspection and take necessary precautions. The drivers have been urged fo use handbrakes if they are going to stop at one location for a long time, they should ensure that the cap of their fuel tank is properly fit and it is appropriate. They should avoid unnecessary honking and switch off the engines if the vehicle is stopped at one location. Inflammable material should not be kept in the driver’s cabin and the number of people sitting around the driver should be limited to avoid any inconvenience while driving, the officials said.
