Pune: Three Persons Killed In Accidents In Wagholi And Sahakarnagar Areas
Pune, 25 August 2021: Three people died in different accidents in the city. Accidents have taken place at Taljai Hill Road in Sahakarnagar, Bhavadi Road in Wagholi and Khandvenagar. A case has been registered at Sahakarnagar and Lonikand police stations under Pune city police.
An unidentified pedestrian was killed in a collision with a rickshaw. The accident took place on the night of August 23 on the road leading to Bikaner Chowk from Taljai Hill in Sahakannagar. Police Constable Anil Megade has lodged a complaint in this regard.
In the second accident, a two-wheeler rider died on Bhavdi Road in Wagholi around 11 pm on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Baban Achutrao Mohite (72), resident of Jadhav Vasti, Wagholi). While Mohite was going to work on a two-wheeler, his vehicle hit a stone. He was seriously injured when he fell down and died during treatment.
In the third incident, a driver was killed when he hit a pickup van driving in the opposite direction. The accident took place around 5 am on Tuesday in Khandvenagar area of Wagholi. The deceased has been identified as Vikas Venkatrao Jirgekar (23, resident of Nhavare, Shirur). His brother Avinash Jirgekar (25) has lodged a complaint at Loni Vand Police Station.
