Woman Attempts Suicide At A Police Station In Pune

Kondhwa, 25 August 2021: A woman tried attempted suicide by drinking phenyl at Kondhwa police station under Pune city police due to a domestic dispute. The incident took place in ‘Thane Amaldar’ room around 5.30 pm yesterday.

Based on a complaint from police officer Yenbhau Bhilare, a case has been registered against the woman.

According to police, the accused woman and her husband had a domestic dispute. Therefore, both the husband and wife had come to the Kondhwa police station to lodge a complaint. At that time, the woman suddenly took out a bottle of phenyl from her bag and drank it. She was then rushed to a hospital.

Kondhwa police said that her condition has improved after the treatment.
