Pune: Three Workers Injured As Slab Of Illegal Construction Collapsed In Kondhwa
Kondhwa, 22nd January 2022: Three construction workers were injured when a slab of illegal construction on the terrace of a building collapsed today afternoon in Kondhwa.
After receiving information about the incident, the fire brigade and the police reached the spot and rushed the workers to the hospital. The anti-encroachment department of the Pune municipal corporation (PMC) took action against the illegal construction and demolished it.
Sonai Apartment is an old five-storey building in Shivnerinagar area of Kondhwa. Illegal construction was started by constructing slabs on the terrace of this building. While removing the wooden plank support given to the slab, the slab suddenly collapsed.
The injured workers were rushed to a nearby hospital. After getting information about this incident, the PMC started demolishing the illegal construction.
A case will be registered by the police in this regard, informed Sub-Inspector of Police Chaitrali Gapat.
Residents of Shivnerinagar area have complained that many people have done illegal constructions in the area.
