Pune to get moderate rainfall this week, heavy rainfall expected in ghat region
Pune, August 4, 2020: After many days of sunshine and no rains, Punekars can expect moderate rainfall in the city and district in the coming week. Moderate rainfall along with heavy rainfall in isolated places in the gha areas of the district has been predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune till August 7.
Meanwhile, the Tamhini ghat area in the district received 205mm rainfall within 24 hours, that is from 8:30 am of August 3 to 8:30 am of August 4.
Heavy rainfall warning has also been given to Konkan (Raigad, Ratnagiri) and Mumbai. Extremely heavy rainfall has been forecasted for Mumbai as well, which has already begun flooding several areas in the city.
