Pune to Observe Silent Tribute on 15th Anniversary of German Bakery Blast

Koregaon Park, 12th February 2025: Pune residents are being urged to participate in a silent tribute on 13th February 2025 to commemorate the victims of the German Bakery bomb blast in Koregaon Park. The event will mark the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attack that claimed 17 lives and injured 56 people on 13th February 2010.

Several social organisations in Pune have called for maximum participation from citizens to condemn the cowardly act of terrorism. The silent tribute will be observed from 10 AM to 8 PM at the site of the former German Bakery in Koregaon Park.

Organisers, including Balasaheb Runwal of Mere Apne organisation, Sunil Mane of Catalyst Foundation, Sunil Yadav of Dalit Sena, Dr Manasi Jadhav, and Snehal Kharose from German Bakery, have emphasised that they will only set up a stage for the event. They have invited all Pune residents to join the commemoration and express their protest against terrorism by maintaining silence during the specified hours.
