Pune : Tourist Drowns In Water Tank At Rajgad Fort
Pune 16th August 2023: In a tragic incident reported on Monday, a 33-year-old youth who had gone to Rajgad Fort with friends drowned in a water tank on the Rajgad Fort. The deceased identified as Ajay Mohanan Kallampara (33) had gone to take water to drink from the tank when he slept into and later died.
According to officials, the incident took place at late night on Monday. His friends who unaware of the incident searched everywhere but could not find. His dead body was found in the water tank on the next day, his friends were in a shock after seeing him dead. It may be noted that a large number tourists flocked to forts located in Pune district following continuous holidays.
Rajgad Fort located in the Velha taluka of Pun le district is one such place where a large number tourists especially trekkers visit on weekends and holidays.
