Shivajinagar, 11th November 2021: There will be a change in traffic route today at the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar and Kamgar Statue area near the District Court premises in Shivajinagar. This diversion is against the background of the rehabilitation of these slums due to ongoing work for the Pune Metro.

Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) Rahul Shrirame said that the traffic from the underpass towards Shivajinagar court will be closed. People can use the optional route of the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) circle-RTO chowk-Pune station. Those going to court will have to make a U-turn near Sangam Bridge and come to Sancheti Hospital chowk and take a left turn for going into the court premises.

The road from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) building towards Kumbharwada Chowk via the old Dengale bridge will be closed while the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj bridge will remain open both ways. Traffic from this bridge and the PMC towards Rajiv Gandhi Nagar through Tofkhana Road will be shut.
