Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced for Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Sohala in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 17th June 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Branch has announced significant traffic changes in view of the Jagadguru Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Sohala. The Palkhi procession is set to depart from Dehu Gaon on 18th June, will halt near the Vitthal Mandir in Akurdi on 19th June and proceed towards Pune on 20th June.

Deputy Commisisoner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar has urged motorists to use alternate routes, as entry for vehicles will be restricted on the Palkhi procession routes.

Jagadguru Sant Shree Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Route:
The Palkhi will journey from Dehu Gaon – Dehu Kaman – Bhakti Shakti Chowk – Nigdi – Akurdi (for an overnight stay) – Chinchwad – Morwadi Chowk – Pimpri Chowk – Vallabh Nagar – Nashik Phata – Phugewadi – Dapodi – and finally cross Harris Bridge towards Pune.

Restrictions for Heavy and Bulky Vehicles (16th to 19th June):
Old Mumbai-Pune Highway from Dehu Kaman to Dehu Gaon: This route is closed for all vehicles.
Alternate Route: Bhakti-Shakti Chowk – Triveni Nagar – Talawade Gavthan – Canbay Chowk, Khandelwal Chowk towards Dehu Gaon.
Talegaon Chakan Road from Dehu Phata to Dehu Gaon: This route is closed for all vehicles.
Alternate Route: Via HP Chowk to the desired destination.
IT Park/Canbay Chowk to Kalokhe Patil Chowk (Khandelwal Chowk) for vehicles going to Dehu Gaon: Entry is prohibited.
Alternate Route 1: IT Park/Canbay Chowk – Mahindra Circle – via HP Chowk to the desired destination.
Alternate Route 2: IT Park/Canbay Chowk – Talawade Gavthan Chowk – via Triveni Nagar to the desired destination.
