Pune: Traffic Diversions Announced for Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Sohala in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 17th June 2025: Significant traffic diversions have been announced in anticipation of the Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Sohala, which commences from Alandi on 18th June. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Traffic Branch has urged motorists to utilise alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar stated, “We appeal to all drivers to cooperate and use the designated alternate routes to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the Palkhi Sohala.”

Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Route:

The Palkhi will proceed from Alandi – Dehu Phata – Charholi Phata – pausing at Thorlya Paduka Mandir and Magazine Chowk, before continuing via Dighi – Bopkhel Phata towards Vishrantwadi, Pune.

Restrictions for Heavy Vehicles (17th to 19th June):

Chakan to Alandi and Chimbli to Alandi: Entry for heavy and bulky vehicles is prohibited.
Alternate Route: From Alandi Phata and Chimbli Phata Chakan, proceed via Bharat Mata Chowk – Panjarpol Chowk – Alankapuram Chowk to the desired destination.
Shel Pimpalgaon, Vadgaon Ghenand to Alandi and Markal to Alandi: Entry is prohibited.
Alternate Route: From Shel Pimpalgaon – Kaman – Koyali – Markalgaon to the desired destination.
Bharat Mata Chowk to Alandi: Entry is prohibited.
Alternate Route: From Bharat Mata Chowk – Moshi Chowk – Panjarpol Chowk – Alankapuram Chowk to the desired destination.
Moshi Chowk to Alandi: Entry is prohibited.
Alternate Route: From Moshi – Chakan – Shikrapur to the desired destination.
Vishrantwadi to Alandi: Entry is prohibited.
Alternate Route 1: From Vishrantwadi – Bopkhel Phata – Magazine Chowk – Alankapuram Chowk, Charholi Phata – Markal to the desired destination.
Alternate Route 2: From Vishrantwadi – Bopkhel Phata – Magazine Chowk – Alankapuram – Panjarpol Chowk to the desired destination.
Prohibition of All Vehicles Entering Alandi (June 17th to 20th):

All vehicles are prohibited from entering Alandi from Charholi Phata Chowk, Dudulgaon Jakat Naka, Kelgaon Chowk/Bapdev Chowk, Indrayani Hospital, Vishrantwadi, Dhanori Phata / PCS Chowk, and other such points.
Entry for all vehicles is also prohibited from Hawaldar Wasti to Talekar Patil Chowk, proceeding further from Dehu Phata towards Alandi.
One-Way Routes (17th to 19th June):

Hawaldar Vasti – Talekar Patil Chowk: This route has been made one-way. Turn right from Talekar Patil Chowk towards Aditya International School, Dudulgaon.
From Dudulgaon Chowk, one can proceed over the Indrayani River Bridge towards Chakan or from Dudulgaon Chowk via Talekar Patil Chowk to Hawaldar Vasti, towards Moshi Chowk to the desired destination.
Bharat Mata Chowk to Hawaldar Vasti Y-Junction: This route has been made one-way, turning right towards Moshi. All vehicles are prohibited from going from Moshi Chowk towards Hawaldar Vasti and from Hawaldar Vasti towards Bharat Mata Chowk.
Prohibition of Vehicles on Palkhi Route (20th June):

All vehicles are prohibited from entering the Palkhi route from Vishrantwadi to Bopkhel to Alandi, Markal – Charholi to Alandi, Moshi Chowk, as well as Bharat Mata Chowk to Hawaldar Vasti via Dehu Phata Alandi, Alandi Phata Chakan to Alandi, Chimbli Phata to Alandi, Vadgaon Ghenand to Vishrantwadi via Alandi, Panjarpol Chowk to Alankapuram via Alandi, and from Bhosari to Alankapuram Chowk, Magazine Chowk, Dighi, Bopkhel, and all other roads merging with the Palkhi route.
Heavy vehicles coming from Tulapur are prohibited from entering Alandi from Markal village.
Alternate Route: Vehicles on this route can turn right from Markal village towards Koyali village, Shel Pimpalgaon, to their desired destination.
