Pune Traffic Police Restricts Heavy and Slow-Moving Vehicles During Peak Hours
Pune, 5th February 2025: To ease traffic congestion and minimize accidents caused by heavy and slow-moving vehicles, the Pune Traffic Police has issued new restrictions on the movement of dumpers, mixers, highway vehicles, and slow-moving vehicles such as JCBs, road rollers, and tractors etc.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Amol Zhende announced that these vehicles will be banned from operating during peak hours to reduce inconvenience to commuters and streamline traffic flow in the city. Additionally, all previous traffic regulations related to these vehicles have been canceled, and the new restrictions will take immediate effect.
Key Changes in Traffic Regulations:
Restriction on peak-hour movement for dumpers, mixers, JCBs, road rollers, tractors, and other slow-moving vehicles.
Strict enforcement to reduce road blockages and ensure smoother traffic flow.
Previous traffic orders regarding heavy vehicles are now void.
The Pune Traffic Police has urged vehicle operators to comply with the new regulations to avoid penalties and contribute to safer, more organized traffic in the city.
