Pune: Trainee Fireman Vikas Kute Saves 2-Year-Old Girl Trapped in Blaze in Pimple Saudagar

Pimple Saudagar, 6th May 2024: An incident of fire occurred in a society in Pimple Saudagar, where a 2-year-old girl was trapped. She was successfully rescued by the Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Brigade. The fire broke out on the 4th floor of a building, while the girl was trapped on the 6th floor. This incident took place at 3:25 PM near Govind Garden Restaurant in Pimple Saudagar.

According to information provided by the Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Department, the fire was at Sai Dreams Cooperative Housing Society near Govind Garden Restaurant in Pimple Saudagar. Upon receiving the information, fire vehicles from PCMC Main Fire Station, Rahatani Fire Sub Station, and Thergaon Fire Sub Station were dispatched. The fire occurred in flat C402 of Sai Dreams Cooperative Society.

Upon arrival, fire officers observed flames in the hall, with furniture, electronic devices, and kitchen appliances ablaze. The smoke and flames were intense, necessitating the use of Breathing Apparatus sets. While controlling the fire, simultaneous efforts were made to rescue people trapped on the upper floors.

On the 5th floor, a 2-year-old girl was trapped in a flat, and trainee fireman Vikas Kute bravely saved her. Additionally, a physically disabled elderly couple was stuck on the 6th floor. The fire brigade broke the door and successfully rescued them. Eventually, the fire was brought under control by the fire brigade.
