Tree Collapse in Panchavati Pashan Traps Vehicles

Pashan, 19th June 2025: A college student sustained injuries after a large tree collapsed in the Panchavati area of Pashan on Thursday morning due to heavy rain. The incident occurred near the Nishigandh building, where the fallen tree trapped a four-wheeler and a two-wheeler.

The injured student, identified as Kajal (approx. age 22), is reportedly enrolled at the C-DAC Central Government College. She was caught under the fallen tree but was promptly rescued by the Pashan Fire Brigade team.

Upon receiving the alert, firefighters from the Pashan Fire Station rushed to the spot. Under the guidance of Officer Shivaji Memane, firemen Shashikant Dhanwate, Chandrakant Burud, Devidas Chaudhary, Shubham Karande, and Lukman Kamalkhan successfully pulled Kajal out from under the debris and immediately called for an ambulance.

She was then shifted to Sai Shree Hospital in Aundh for treatment.
The treefall also caused traffic disruption in the area. However, swift action by the Pune Municipal Corporation and the Fire Department prevented any major disaster
