Pune: Tree Falls on Moving PMPML Bus in Pimpri-Chinchwad; 7 Injured, Traffic Snarled
Pimpri-Chinchwad, 2nd July 2025: In a shocking incident, a massive tree fell on a moving PMPML bus near Chinchwad while it was en route to Akurdi around 10 AM on Tuesday. The bus was carrying several passengers at the time, and seven individuals have sustained minor injuries.
The incident occurred during peak office hours, causing a major traffic jam in the area and leading to significant inconvenience for commuters.
Senior Police Inspector Ashok Kadlag, in-charge of Pimpri Police Station, confirmed to Punekar News, “Yes, the tree has fallen near Chhatrapati Shivaji Chowk area. It has caused a traffic jam but it is being resolved and will be cleared soon. No serious injuries have been reported so far.”
Fire Brigade personnel are currently at the scene working to remove the tree and restore normal traffic flow.
