Pune: Trekker Falls And Dies While Trekking At Tailbaila In Lonavala
Lonavala, 11th December 2022: A young trekker fell and died today while climbing the peak at Tailbaila in Mulshi taluka, near Lonavala.
The deceased trekker has been identified as Somnath Shinde (26), currently residing in Katraj, and a native of Osmanabad.
According to the information received, a group of six people had come to Tailbaila for trekking. After staying at the village for the night, they began the trek today at 5.30 am. Around 9:30 am, Shinde stumbled and fell off due to a lack of proper equipment. He died due to severe injuries.
On learning about the accident, Rajendra Kadu, Mahesh Masane, Sunil Gaikwad Suraj Vare, Yogesh Umbere, Pranay Ambure, Ratan Singh, Aditya Pilane, Harshal Chaudhary, Siddesh Nisal, Siddharth Adhav and village helpers Akshay Rokade, Sunil of the rescue team Shivdurg Mitra from Lonavala rushed to the spot and retrieved Shinde’s body.
