Pune: Triple Murder Shocks Maval Taluka, Woman and Her Children Thrown into River

Talegaon Dabhade, 22nd July 2024: A triple murder has shaken Maval Taluka of Pune District. While conducting a search operation for a missing woman, this incident came to light.
The woman died during an abortion process. While her body was being disposed of in a river, her children started shouting and crying, leading the accused to throw the children into the river as well. This incident took place from 6th to 9th July 2024, near the Talegaon area of Maval. Police have arrested all the accused involved.
A complaint was registered at Talegaon MIDC Police Station, under Pimpri Chinchwad police, for a missing woman. In this incident, police have arrested the missing woman’s lover, Gajendra Dagadkhair, and his friend, Ravikant Gaikwad.
According to information given by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 3) Bapu Bangar, during the search operation for the missing woman, police discovered this shocking incident. The deceased woman had become pregnant, and for her abortion, her lover, Dagadkhair, sent her to Thane with his friend Gaikwad. During the abortion, she died.
The woman’s body and her children were brought to Varale near Talegaon Dabhade in Maval on 9th July. The friend and lover threw the woman’s body into the Indrayani River. The two children started crying and shouting. Fearing they would be exposed, the accused threw the children alive into the Indrayani River. This incident was revealed yesterday evening. Talegaon MIDC Police Station registered the case and arrested the accused. The search operation for all three bodies is ongoing.
