Pune: Two Deaths In An Accident; Father-Daughter Died While Going To School In Satavwadi
Pune, 19th July 2022: On Pune-Saswad Road, the father died in a collision with a truck while going to drop his daughter at school. The girl, unfortunately, died while taking her for treatment. The accident took place around 7.00 am in front of the gliding centre, Satavwadi.
The deceased has been identified as Nilesh Salunkhe (35), a resident of Dhamalwadi, Fursungi and Meenakshi Salunkhe (10). Meenakshi was studying in Class 5 in Sadhana Vidyalaya.
According to information received, Nilesh was driving towards his daughter’s school from Fursungi to Hadapsar. At Satavwadi, a speeding truck from behind hit his bike. In this, Nilesh got seriously injured and died on the spot as he came under the wheel of the truck. Meenakshi was seriously injured as she was thrown away. She died on the way while being rushed to the hospital.
Truck Driver Dilip Kumar Patel, a resident of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh has been arrested by Hadapsar Police in this regard.
