Pune: Two Doctors Booked For Allegedly Forging Signatures, Documents To Secure Medical Shop Licence

Talawade, 19th September 2026: Two doctors have been booked for allegedly forging signatures and documents to cancel a partnership licence and obtain a medical shop licence in their own name, police said.

The alleged fraud took place at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) office in Moshi from October 12, 2023 till now. The accused have been identified as Dr Prashant Madhukar Patil-Kamble (34) and Dr Ravikant Ashok Hadap-Chinchwade (35).

According to the complaint filed by Sanjay Mohansingh Rathod (54) at the Bhosari MIDC police station, the accused allegedly forged signatures on an application and consent letter seeking cancellation of the partnership licence of Talwade Medical Shop. They allegedly submitted the documents as genuine and got the licence cancelled and transferred in their names.

Police said Hadap-Chinchwade allegedly altered Form 20 of the licence, removed the name of another person and obtained the licence in a single name. He allegedly used the licence to secure a loan from the Chinchwad branch of Bharti AXA Life.

The accused have been booked for allegedly cheating the government and forgery. Further investigation is underway.
