Pune: Two Forest Dept Officials Caught Accepting Bribe Of Rs 1 Lakh

Shirur, 18th November 2021: The sleuths from the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) today arrested a Vanpal (Ranger) and a Vanrakshak (forest guard) of the forest department for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh.

According to ACB, the complainant was transporting firewood in his tempo which was caught by the accused. They demanded Rs one lakh for not taking any action for transporting the wood without a license.

After getting a complaint, ACB laid a trap caught the accused at the Shirur forest range office. An FIR has been registered at Shirur police station against Vanpal Sagar Navnath Bhosale (34) and Vanrakshak Sanjay Jaisingh Pawhane (45).

They have been charged for offences under relevant sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
