Pune: Two Trainee Pilots Dead, Two Injured in Late-Night Drunken Driving Incident
Baramati, 9th December 2024: A car accident occurred at 3:15 a.m. on Monday on Baramati-Bhigwan Road, within the limits of Jainik Wadi village. A Tata Harrier vehicle carrying four trainee pilots collided, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuries to two others.
The deceased have been identified as Takshu Sharma (21), a resident of Delhi, and Aditya Kanse (21), a resident of Mumbai. Both succumbed to their injuries at the spot.
The driver, Krishna Ishu Singh (21) from Bihar, sustained injuries but survived the crash. Meanwhile, Cheshta Bishnoi (21), a resident of Rajasthan, is in critical condition and currently unconscious. Both are being treated at a nearby hospital.
All four victims were students of Redbird Flight Training Academy, Baramati, and were reportedly on a late-night drive after consuming alcohol. “We are registering a case,” said a Pune rural police officer, who confirmed the involvement of alcohol in the incident.
Further investigation is underway.
