Pune: Two-wheeler set on fire in Kondhwa building, investigation underway

Kondhwa, 18th April 2023: A case of arson was reported in Mithali Complex in Kondhwa, where a two-wheeler parked in a building was set on fire after petrol was poured on it. The incident took place on Monday (17th April) at around 1 am. Sameer Sheikh (48), a resident of Shivnerinagar, Kondhwa filed a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station.
According to the police, Sameer and his family live in Shivneri Nagar. On the night of 17th April, unknown individuals poured petrol on Sameer’s motorcycle and set it ablaze. The bike was completely burnt and the loss incurred was estimated to be around Rs 25,000. Assistant Police Inspector Anil Survase is currently investigating the matter.
The incident has left the locals in shock and the motive behind the crime is still unclear. The police are conducting a thorough investigation to identify the culprits and bring them to justice.
