Pune: Two Women Cheated For Rs 15 Lakh On Pretext Of Job At PMC, Case Registered

Pune 17th July 2023: The Pune City Police have booked a man from Karvenagar for allegedly cheating two women of the city for Rs 15 lakh on pretext of giving them job at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). A case in this regard has been registered at Sinhagad Road Police Station.

According to reports, the women live at Sinhagad Road area and they came in contact with the accused through a person known to both. The accused identifed as Ashish Chandrakant Tawde assured the women to give job at PMC and also gave them fake joining letters.

The complainants have alleged that they have paid Rs 15 lakh on different occasions to the accused to get job. However, when they realised that they have been cheated they approached the local police to lodge complaint. Police have booked Tawde for cheating and forging documents in the matter. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
