Pune: Two Year Old WhatsApp Status In School Group Leads To Attack On Youth
Pune, 28th March 2022: The incident took place in the Pashan area when three persons attacked a youth with a weapon due to a dispute over the WhatsApp status of the group formed by the school colleagues.
Tanmay Nimhan (19) and Karan More (19), both residents of Pashan, were arrested in the case. Aditya Dashrath Auchre (18), a resident of Balewadi, has lodged a complaint at Chaturshringi Police Station.
According to police, Aditya and accused Nimhan, More were studying in the same school. They argued two years ago over the status of the school group. Aditya had left the Pashan area. At that time, the accused insulted him using curse words and Aditya asked for an answer. After that, Aditya was beaten by Tanmay and Karan. He was attacked by a chopper.
Two friends who were with Aditya at that time tried to intervene but the accused also threatened to kill them.
