Pune: Two Youths Killed In Accident On Karvenagar Bridge

Pune, 16 September 2021: Two youths Shankar Ingle (27) and Salil Ismail Kokare (20) died after their two-wheeler rammed on the Karve bridge on Wednesday night. Both were heading towards Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati darshan after finishing the ‘aarti’, of Ganpati at home. Maharashtra State is celebrating Ganpati festival.

Police inspector Janardhan Holkar said, “Shankar Ingle and Salil Kokare after doing ‘aarti’, at home were heading towards city when they lost control of their two-wheeler on Karve bridge. The vehicle first rammed on to the left side of the railings and then on the right side”.

The impact was so strong that both of them died on the spot. Police said that they ran out of the police station after hearing the sound.

Salil was a student while Shankar was into water tanker businesss.
