Pune: Unemployed Youth Stabs Mother And Sister Over Minor Dispute, Case Registered
Hadapsar 25th Sept 2023: In a shocking incident reported in the Kalepadal area of Hadapsar, a 29-year-old youth has been arrested by the city police for allegedly stabbing his mother and sister over minor dispute. The incident took place at a society in Kalepadal area on Saturday.
According to police, the accused identified as Sajid Yusuf Pathan (29) is unemployed and he often fights with the family whenever they ask him to get a good job. On Saturday evening, his mother asked him about the driving license that she found missing in the house. The angry accused attacked her using a knife kept inside the kitchen. Sajid’s sister who was also present inside the house at the time of incident rushed to her mother’s help but he attacked her as well.
The neighbours heard the chaos in the house and intervened after which the women were rescued and referred to the hospital for treatment. The local police were called and the accused was arrested. A case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered in the matter. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
