Pune: Unique Art Exhibition Boosts Voter Turnout Ahead of Maharashtra Elections
Shivajinagar, 11th November 2024: In an effort to boost voter turnout in the upcoming Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Elections, a unique program was organized featuring an exhibition of paintings created by school students. The exhibition took place in front of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Garden, next to Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir on Jangali Maharaj Road (JM Road). The program received a positive response from citizens, many of whom pledged to vote in support of this admirable student initiative.
A voter awareness painting competition for secondary school students was held, and selected paintings were displayed along the footpath in front of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Garden on JM Road by the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) team of Shivajinagar Constituency. Under the guidance of Assistant Election Returning Officer Dadasaheb Gite, various activities are being carried out in Shivajinagar Constituency to promote voter awareness.
The photo exhibition concept was introduced to inspire voters by involving school students. The students painted images with the message: “Your vote is your right; it is time for you to understand the power of voting.” On the occasion of a Sunday holiday, the exhibition was held in a busy location to raise awareness among voters.
