Pune University: 38% Students Failed To Appear On First Day Of Mock Test, 350 Complaints Related To Username, Password Received

Pune, 5 April 2021: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has started taking mock exams to help students get acquainted with the software before the actual online exam. It has come to light that 38% of students did not appear for the mock tests on the first day.
According to students, they faced difficulties in selecting an answer but were not able to save it, exam timer continued even though internet was disconnected, questions answered but the system showed them unanswered etc.
The university has planned to conduct the mock test from April 5 to 9. The syllabus wise schedule has been announced by the University. Today, a total of 1.1 lakh students were expected to appear for the mock test including 18,235 postgraduate, 88,866 undergraduate and 2,916 postgraduate diploma courses.
However, only 54,107 students of undergraduate, 12,527 postgraduate and 1,836 postgraduate diploma courses appeared today, informed Dr Mahesh Kakade, Director, Board of Examinations and Evaluation, SPPU.
He further said that the university has received 350 complaints related to email ID, mobile number not registered for the test, password issue for login among others.
The university has appealed to students not to ignore mock test as it will help them get familiar with the online exam procedure.
