Pune University Exams Postponed By One-Week

Pune, September 29, 2020: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) was supposed to conduct the final year and ATKT examinations in the first week of October. But the varsity has now decided to postpone the examination by at least one week.

The competitive exams such as Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Maharashtra State Public Service Commission (MPSC), National Eligibility Test (NET), Common Entrance Test (CET), and similar capacity exams are also scheduled around the same week. Therefore, considering the Pune University has decided to begin its examination from October 12 onwards.

Earlier, the university had scheduled the final year and backlog examinations from October 5. But since the NET examination is scheduled on October 1, 5 and 9, also UPSC examination is dated to be held on October 4. The MPSC exam will be held on October 11. Moreover, the university is currently also held up amidst the ongoing non-teaching staff members’ strike. Hence, considering the circumstances, SPPU has thought of postponing the examinations by one week.

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has ordered to hold all the university examinations by October 30, accordingly the educational institutions have started to prepare for the same.
