Pune University Final Year Students Wait For Question Banks Ahead Of Examination
Pune, September 14, 2020: While the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has been asked to provide question banks to the students ahead of the examination of the final year students, the students are yet to receive any indication for the same. The students had demanded question banks as this year, the final examination will be taking place in the ‘Multiple Choice Question’ (MCQ) format.
The students fear that the MCQ format will affect their result adversely, as one wrong answer usually means the loss of the whole score for that particular question. Hence, students across the state have demanded question banks ahead of the examination.
SPPU has allocated the work of creating question banks to several experts selected from different streams and departments. Around 300 questions will be created for the question bank, out of which around 60 will appear in the examination. The students will have to answer at least 50 compulsorily in a 50 marks exam.
A committee has been appointed under SPPU Pro-Chancellor Dr NS Umrani, in order to make decisions regarding the conduct of the examinations, question bank, exam schedule and so on.
