Pune University Gets In-Charge Vice-Chancellor, Says Examinations First Priority
Pune, 18th May 2022: “Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is a university with its own independent identity in the world and I will try to add more to the standard of this university in the future as long as I have the opportunity to serve in this university”, said Dr Karbhari Kale, in-charge Vice-Chancellor of SPPU.
Dr Kale, who is the VC of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, today took the additional charge of SPPU from outgoing VC Dr Nitin Karmalkar.
Dr Kale said, “Currently, the two main topics I have prioritized are student examinations and streamlining students’ further education. The policy will be decided soon after a meeting with the officials.”
Answering a question on how he would devote his time to the university after assuming office, Dr Kale said, “I will decide where and how much time to spend according to the need of the work without using the traditional method.”
He added, “In the future, we will try to find out how the good things in both the universities can be taken from each other. We will soon try to strengthen the relationship between the two universities through a memorandum of understanding.”
Speaking about his tenure, Dr Karmalkar said, “During my tenure at Savitribai Phule Pune University, I have tried to work behind the scenes. May this university make such progress in future also which will take the university to new heights.”
