Pune University Organises Union Budget Exhibition At Economics Department

Pune, 10th February 2023: The Union Budget Exhibition is a yearly activity at the Department of Economics, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), since 2007. This year, the Union Budget Exhibition was organized in the department on Wednesday, 8th February, from 10.30 am to 5.00 pm. It was inaugurated by Prof. Sanjeev Sonawane, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

An exhibition was prepared by the students of M.A. Economics and was open to other departments as well as to the members of society. The objective of this activity is to create awareness about various aspects of the Union Budget and train students to explain these aspects to the visitors of this exhibition. Various faculty members from surrounding colleges in Pune as well as students from these colleges visited this exhibition and registered their feedbacks. In all, the response of the students was overwhelming.

Prof. Vilas Adhav, Head of the department, encouraged the students and supported this activity. This exhibition was coordinated by Dr Manasi Gore, a faculty in the Department of economics.
