Pune: Transportation of Board Exam Question Papers To Be Monitored Through GPS System

Pune, 11th February 2023: The Maharashtra state board will monitor the transportation of question papers through GPS. This is done to prevent malpractice during class 10th and 12th examinations. The state board has made it necessary for the assistant guard (runner) appointed to deliver and bring the question paper to the main examination centre to continue the GPS during the journey. The flying squads and static teams are also going to be appointed at the examination centres.

State Board Secretary Anuradha Oak gave the information regarding the same through a press release. The state board meeting was held in line with the class 10th and 12th examinations.

Director General of Police, Additional Chief Secretary of Rural Development Department, Principal Secretary of School Education Department, Education Commissioner, Chairman of State Board, Divisional Commissioner, Collector, Commissioner of Police, Superintendent of Police, Divisional Board Chairman, Divisional Deputy Director of Education, Education Officer along with Personal Secretaries of Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister were present during the meeting.

Apart from the flying squads appointed by the Education Department at examination centres, flying teams and static teams will be appointed in coordination with District Collector, Police Commissioner, and Chief Executive Officer to avoid malpractice during the examination.

Oak further explained that the assistant guard (runner) assigned to deliver and bring question papers to the main examination centre is required to keep the GPS on during the journey.
