Pune, 8th May 2023: Congress State President Nana Patole was going to come to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) on 10th May to interact with the students on the issues of students studying in Pune University, educational problems in hostels, quality of canteens, national education policy, etc. However, Patole’s program has been denied permission by the university administration.

Nana Patole’s program has been organized on behalf of various student organizations of the university. Also to permit this program and to get commerce hall, a written letter was given to the Registrar on 3rd May 2023. However, it has still not been approved after 5 days.

Meanwhile, due to not getting permission for the same, the representatives of the student organizations on Monday asked to meet the Pro-Vice-Chancellor. One of the representatives of the student union was informed that the permission would not be given as there is a program in the university on 10th May in accordance with G20. When asked for a written reply in this regard, it was not given to them either.

Even if the university administration does not allow the students to discuss the questions, they will meet on the scheduled day. He also said, “We are determined to hold the program on 10th May if anyone obstructs us or anything inappropriate happens, the university administration will be responsible.”

Regarding the permission, a letter was given to the office of Vice Chancellor Karbhari Kale on behalf of various student organizations.
