Pune University Releases Notification For Entrance Exam For Various Undergraduate And Postgraduate Courses

Pune, 16th June 2021: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) released a notification on the official website, about the opening of the admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. According to the notification, the entrance exam will be conducted via online mode. The details of the exam date and syllabus are available on the webpage of the respective departments.

The interested candidates who wish to apply for undergraduate, postgraduate and certificate/diploma courses at SPPU will have to appear for an online Entrance Exam (OEE). The registration forms are now available on the official website https://campus.unipune.ac.in/CCEP Candidates can register till July 10. The OEE is expected to be held after July 15. The dates are tentative; the detailed schedule is not out yet. But all the information regarding the admissions can be seen on the official website.

The OEE will be of 100 marks and will have two sections -20 marks for general knowledge/logical reasoning/comprehension while the 80 marks test will be based on the specialisation subject. The exam will have a negative marking scheme, one-third of marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

On the basis of the performance, a merit list will be prepared, based on the subject. And according to the merit list, the admissions will be granted. The notification also states the candidate has to keep the documents ready, including the previous qualifying examination. Since the class 12th board exam got cancelled candidates need not panic, the authorities have not made any documents mandatory, while registering for the exam only a photo and signature will be required. After the merit list comes out students are expected to get their mark sheets from their respective boards and universities to get themselves enrolled.
