Pune, 9th June 2023: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced a rescheduling of examinations to accommodate the departure of the palanquin of revered saints Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj from Pune city.

The revised exam schedule for the affected days will be made available on the university’s website. Additionally, a special examination will be arranged for students who are unable to appear for the regular exams due to the palanquin procession between June 14 and June 16 in the Saswad area.

Dr. Mahesh Kakade, Director of the Examination and Evaluation Board at the university, issued a circular informing students about the changes. The summer session exams for March 2023 commenced on June 6, and the original exam schedule had already been announced. However, considering the request from affiliated colleges, the university decided to reschedule exams on June 12 and 13 to coincide with the departure of the palanquin from Pune city.

The revised exam timetable will be published on the university’s official website to ensure students have access to the updated information. Students who are unable to appear for the regular exams due to the palanquin procession will be eligible to take a special examination. To apply for the special examination, concerned students must submit their applications through their respective colleges. The examination department will verify the relevant documents and process the applications to ensure that no student is deprived of the opportunity to take the special examination.
