Pune, November 5, 2020: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) final year students who opted for giving retest against the backdrop of facing technical glitches during the examination continue to face the wrath of technical failures now as well.

Acknowledging the large number of complaints from students, SPPU had decided to give a second chance to 14,000 students. The re-examination will be conducted on November 5, 6 and 7.

Shockingly, on the first day of online retest examination, SPPU students faced several technical errors. A final year BCA student said, “We were supposed to give examination of four subjects, but when I logged in, the portal only shows three exams that can be given. This is happening to most of the students in BCA.”

Another BCA students said, “I have completed some subjects examination before, but on the system, it shows that I haven’t submitted any test.”

Several students also received an email for re-examination, even after submitting the test.

Punekarnews.in had raised this issue with Mahesh Kakade, Director of Examination and evaluation, SPPU. “It is not required to give re-examination for students who have successfully submitted the test. These emails were sent to those who have submitted their grievances”, Kakade said on Tuesday.

Punekarnews.in again tried to contact officials from SPPU administration. However, there was no response. This report will be updated after the contact is established.
