Pune University’s ‘Degree Plus’ Enrollment Begins, 130 Courses Available
Pune, 10th December 2021: Student registration has now started on the online platform ‘Degree Plus’, one of the ambitious projects of Savitribai Phule Pune University. The commencement date of the course is provided on the Website of Degree Plus.
The objective of this initiative is to provide the desired updated skills & knowledge that will make them industry-ready while pursuing the degree.
Under this, new courses have been launched providing specialized education. These include AWS Academy, EDX, Simpli Learn, eKeeda, Celebrity School, Catalyst Wealth and many more who are offering courses to SPPU students at a very concessional rate and few without any charge.

Initially, these courses will be available only to students of the University and the affiliated colleges of the University.

Courses offered by celebrity school
Under the celebrity school courses are being offered by Nawazuddin Siddiqui on acting, Asha Bhosle on singing, Madhur Bhandarkar on Film direction, Sabira Merchant on communication Skills, Dabboo Ratnani on photography and many more in the media space.
“Degree plus provides opportunities for all SPPU students from all faculty to upgrade skills in the areas of Information technology, Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, manufacturing business, Media, culture, economics, entrepreneurship. This is the trial launch of the platform made available to all students”, said Dr Nitin Karmalkar, Vice-Chancellor of the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU).
“Currently 130 courses are available & 200 more are getting added. All SPPU students should take benefit of this initiative”, added Dr NS Umarani, Pro- Vice Chancellor, SPPU.
“Best in class faculty are drawn in various courses to give benefit to students of SPPU at very concessional rates”, informed Dr Apoorva Palkar, Director, Innovation, Incubation and Linkages.
