Pune: Urban Company Associates Steal Diamond Ring From Developer’s House
Pune, 31st October 2022: A developer in the prestigious Amanora Township was recently shocked to learn that the experts he hired from home services aggregator Urban Clap had stolen his diamond ring worth Rs 2 lakh, as revealed by cops. Furthermore, the company did not even respond to the complaint he later filed through their app, demonstrating that such online apps can be untrustworthy.
Yuvraj Ghawate (34) of Aspire Towers filed a theft complaint against Urban Company’s two associates, Manoj Chavan and Yuvraj Shelar. Ghawate claimed the pair stole the ring while he was cleaning his room before Diwali. The Hadapsar Police arrested the two, and they acquired the ring during interrogation.
The complainant, who lives with his family, hired the firm to clean his apartment. Five people came to his house on 12th October. Chavan and Shelar, according to the complainant, cleaned the complainant’s bedroom. They worked on cleaning until 7.30 p.m. and then left. Ghawate noticed his diamond ring, which he had kept on a table in his bedroom, was missing from the tray.
He then went to the Hadapsar police station and filed a complaint against Urban Company.
